PAEC Foundation Housing Project’s problems about to end?

Image
Located on Canal Bank Road in Lahore, PAEC Foundation Housing Project has been facing delays for many years now. The society’s management could not handover possession of property here, despite completing development work to a large extent. During 2013, there were many rumours that possession was on its way, but nothing happened. These rumours then resurfaced during 2016, but once again, no practical steps were taken to move towards possession. The real problem behind the delays was the supply of electricity. However, now there is light at the end of the tunnel. The Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) will finally supply electricity to the society, which means that possession will be granted here sooner rather than later. And what makes me believe that? WAPDA issued a demand notice to the society’s management for the supply of electricity, and the management has settled its accounts with the authority. According to a source, electricity wires have bee

Even a NAB case was initiated against the project, causing many to grow wary of whatever it had to offer. However, according to a society official, the case has been resolved. And it seems like the project is generating some buzz in investor circles. But should you invest here? Let me help break it down for you. The project is being heavily marketed in newspapers. The good news is that Bahria Town is going to ballot plots in Bahria Orchard Phase IV on May 15. Dealers with open forms for plots have been instructed to submit these forms by May 15. Currently, 10-marla plots are being traded at a loss of PKR 100,000. On the other hand, you can become the owner of a 1-kanal plot by paying a profit of PKR 800,000 on the booking amount. Almost five hundred 1-kanal plots were launched in the locality, while the number of 10-marla plots was more than 2,000. The limited number of 1-kanal plots is one of reasons they are being traded at a profit. On the business side, different dealers are quoting different profit figures for commercial plots P

Dadhocha Dam’s delay & DHA Valley’s future?

Islamabad’s DHA Valley has been the subject of many   controversies   for a while now. The project, which is a joint venture between Bahria Town and Defence Housing Authority (DHA), has faced delays due to several issues, including litigation, slow pace of development work and the fact that a large chunk of land bought for the project is in the line of fire because of the Dadhocha Dam. According to a news report, the development of Dadhocha Dam, along with the other two dams, has been   deferred   due to a shortage of funds. Moreover, the development cost of these dams has increased significantly over the years, which is why funds for the projects cannot be made available for at least the next two year. . The news is indeed bad for the twin cities, which currently s
