Land record to be computerised in Balochistan
The Government of Balochistan has decided to
digitalise all revenue and land records, and it has started with four districts
initially, according to a news report. The process will be executed in phases.
The Land Record Management Information System was launched
to computerise land records in all parts of the province. According to details,
the project is based on the Geographical Information System and it will provide
an automated platform for land transactions. The project is meant to ensure
transparency and efficiency in revenue and land records.
Through computerisation of land records, the Baluchistan
Board of Revenue expects a considerable rise in its revenue from tenancy and
crop inspections.
