CDA approved development of GHQ





Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has formally approved a plan to develop Pakistan Army’s General Head Quarter (GHQ) in Islamabad, according to a news report. The civic body has decided to handover 870 acres of land in Sector E-10 and D-11 to the army.
According to details, residents in CDA sectors that lie close to the new GHQ’s location will be shifted to Sector H-16.  Reportedly, the decision to establish GHQ in Islamabad was taken back in 1972.
