GDA cracks down on unreasonable price hikes

Gwadar: The Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) has taken notice of unreasonable hikes in property rates in private real estate projects, reads a print ad. The notice issued by GDA’s Town Planning director addressed all builders and developers of commercial, industrial and residential projects in Gwadar.
According to details, all builders are now required to get approval before increasing any prices from the GDA. The rise in rates and the payment plan will be approved by the GDA only if the price rise is backed with solid justifications.
This action has been taken on public demand. The notice also reads that developers who will increase prices without GDA’s approval will be pursued legally when a client submits a complaint about the increased rates.
