Time to hold your investment in LDA City?
Lahore
Development Authority (LDA) City has recently become a little bit popular
amongst investors. The under construction Lahore Ring Road, and development of
a road from Gajju Matah to LDA City, has made investors stop and take notice of the
society.
The market is
rife with rumours that development work in the society is about to start, and
LDA City’s master plan is about to be launched. Unfortunately, the rumours
aren’t true since LDA has not released any official statement in this regard.
Demand for plot
files in LDA City has increased, leading to an increase in the prices as well.

The prices of
5-marla, 10-marla and 1-kanal plot files have increased 29.16%, 27.02%, and
16.94% respectively, in one month. I am expecting prices to continue on this
trend in the time to come. The main reason for this is that demand has been on
the up, and whenever that happens prices jump automatically. Moreover, as LRR
progresses, prices will see a rise in LDA City.
Some people are
also quoting PKR 2,000,000, PKR, 3,000,000 and PKR 4,000,000 for 5-marla,
10-marla and 1-kanal plot files and spreading these prices in WhatsApp groups.
Those who are planning to invest in LDA City should be wary of such people.
If you have
purchased a plot file in the project then you should hold onto your property
for a while. However, it is important to keep an eye on market fluctuations.
It was just a few weeks ago that prices of 5-marla, 10-marla and 1-kanal
plot files were PKR 1,650,000, PKR 2,500,000 and PKR 3,700,000, respectively.
In my opinion,
LDA City seems to be a good investment in the current scenario. If you want to
invest here, make sure you buy through a trusted agent or firm, in order to
avoid any untoward circumstances in the future. Despite its current trends, the
locality has been in trouble because of litigation in the past (and these
issues are yet to be entirely resolved). It’s always better to be safe than
sorry.
LDA City spans
60,000 kanals and is slated to be the largest housing project in Punjab. The
authorities will take years to develop it, so if you are looking to call LDA
City home then know that you’re going to be in for a wait. Short-term
investors, on the other hand, can make big gains through the society.
